What I miss most- A brief look into the life of a genius

This pandemic has seriously altered everyone's way of life, and I am no exception. Many things I seemingly took for granted aren't as easy to do during these trying times. One big aspect of my lifestyle that has been seriously affected has been my active lifestyle, and while I'd like to think I'm staying active and healthy in the safety of my own home, it simply isn't the same. Before this pandemic hit, I would always be out doing something, being active. Whether it be soccer, ultimate, or any other physical activity, these things are much harder to do during these trying times and they are just a few examples of things I miss. At this moment in time, my soccer team should be fighting it out to win the coastal cup, and eventually provincials. However, this obviously is not the case, and I am now resorting to nutmegging my brother in our front lawn. The other activity that I no longer have the pleasure of doing is ultimate frisbee. COVID-19: The Change

This whole Covid-19 situation has put a real damper on modern life and has seriously affected how we conduct our every day business. While we may still be allowed to go out for walks and bike rides, other countries aren't quite so fortunate to have these same luxuries. One country that seems to be ahead of the rest in terms of recovery is Germany. The healthcare system they have they is really good and they worked well and efficiently to see the virus through in a relatively short amount of time. It is evident they are slowly letting people get back to what they were doing before the virus hit hardest, but they are being cautious and their plan seems to be wor...

Football: Not the American One

When I tell some people I play  soccer, they laugh at me in the face and say it's a "bad sport." So here I am writing to show these folks what's so "bad" about it. First of all, soccer is a sport that has influence all over the world. From the streets of Brazil to the savannas of Africa to downtown Tokyo, it really is safe to say that this sport has reached all the continents of the world. Even Antarctica! Where penguin football is on the rise. Additionally, I feel obliged to point out that every four years, one of the biggest events on Earth is hosted. Of course, it is the FIFA World Cup. The FIFA World Cup is among the high points of any soccer players career. It features the best players from 32 countries from around the world with one nation coming out on top over the rest. This tournament captivates over a billion people all around the globe and is able to bring whole countries together in times of uncertainty. But the beautiful game is more than just o...
